We started April by spending a wonderful Saturday at USC's Spring practice. We didn't get to go to a game last season because Kyle was so little and didn't do well with really loud noises. We've missed it. The kids had a blast!
Playing ball on the grass in front of the coliseum and the Olympic flame. See Kyle's fluffy white hair on the very bottom of the picture :-) Fun, fun day!
Ryan was an adorable bunny for his Easter program at Preschool. He wiped off the face paint the second he walked into the house, but I was surprised he even let them put the paint on. He is definitely his father's son :-)
We spent Easter with my family in Vista. We left the kids after all the egg hunts and spent 2 days without kids. It was our first break since Kyle was born a year ago! We slept for about 10 hours straight. It was fantastic. And of course the kids thought getting to spend 2 days at Grandma and Grandpa's was the best!
Jayne was asked to do the pledge and flag ceremony at our City Council meeting. She did a great job. She got to be the reader and say the entire pledge in front of everyone at the mic. It was their first time doing it. She did a wonderful job!
Here's Jayne's 2 crazy brothers who are always tagging along :-) We barely made it out of there before Kyle started chucking balls down the aisle.
Sunday Evening Picnic at the Beach
I pack up our dinner and we take it down to the beach/grass area to watch the sun go down, go for a little walk, and play catch with each other for a bit. It's definitely one of our favorite family activities.
Love these guys!
Ryan did this cute little basketball class with a bunch of his buddies. So fun!
Also this month, I ran the Southern CA Ragnar Relay. I had to run 19 miles. It's a team of 12, running 206 miles for 2 days straight. You sleep in the car or wherever you can and eat along the way. It was crazy!
I had a super fun team! I loved my car! And we ended on the beach in Coronado. Super fun!
I talked my mom into joining my team after one of the original people bailed. Luckily she is so in shape she could jump in at the end and do great! We had so much fun. We'll definitely be doing that again!
