Easter

Easter was really great! Ryan woke up from a nap Saturday morning with a fever and we thought it was going to be a horrible weekend. It was rough with Ryan. He had a fever until Sunday afternoon, we hardly got any sleep, and he wanted to be held the entire weekend, but we still had a great Easter. We stayed home more, as to avoid getting other people sick, and made it special for the kids. We started our Easter celebration on Friday with a big community Easter party. It included 7 bounce houses, egg hunts, food, and friends, all for free! Then Saturday our ward had an Easter egg hunt. So by Sunday, the kids were old pro's at the hunt thing. And we have WAY too much candy! We had Easter morning at our house- hunt and breakfast- then headed down to my parents for church and late afternoon/evening dinner. The kids had a blast as did we.
The kids lined up at the Ward Easter egg hunt getting ready to find eggs!

The Easter bunny left very adorable Easter baskets for the kids. And chocolate eggs all over the house. Outside were the real eggs and plastic eggs filled with candy.

*Note to Easter bunny: The real eggs got eaten by rabbits and big black birds. Yes, the entire egg, and all but 3 of them that were right next to the back door. Please leave all the real eggs right by the house or inside next year.

Ryan got really good at gathering all the eggs and putting in his basket. He also got some golf clubs in his Easter basket. He hasn't set them down since.

Yes, we're missing Jayne. She got changed out of her outfit so quickly after church, we never caught her for a picture. But this was Ryan's first Easter really. He slept through all of last one. So here's a picture with him :-)

Time at Grandma's and Grandpa's

Here are some cute pictures of the kids from when my mom and dad took them last weekend! The kids have so much fun! They love being out in the huge yard playing and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa and cousin Ashton who is staying for a few weeks until they move to Vegas. We'll miss them being so close!

Etsy Store

As most of you know, I've been doing my little business called Baby Jayne's since Jayne was born and I decided to quit my job and stay home with her. I love it! I've had so much fun and learned so much. Now after having Ryan, I've decided to transition my business out of traditional boutiques and tradeshows and purely do custom products. I want to make and create different things instead of mass producing the same items all the time. This will fit with my life and ability to take care of my children the way I want much better. So, I've opened an Etsy store and will be selling there exclusively. My website now directs everyone to my Etsy store. I hope you'll check it out and tell your friends about it. By cutting out the retail store and selling directly to you the consumer, my prices are more than 50% off what they were selling for retail. Enjoy!

And check back in another week or so. I'll be adding some new products every few days!

The link to my store is on the side bar.

March Madness

March has been crazy. Along with trying to find a new job, our family has spent the month having every medical procedure we've ever thought about doing done. The most major being a thorough full body cancer scan for me. I have bloodwork done regularly but I haven't done a full body scan in over 5 years so I was due. I found out Tuesday morning that I am still cancer free! I wasn't too nervous about it overall, but you never know. It's great peace of mind! I did the procedure in LA with a Dr. I really like so we got to spend a few days back in Burbank with our friends! We loved it! We went to the Zoo with a bunch of friends and got to hang out and also got some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a fun week.

My mom went with me to LA for the actual scan on Friday while Jason took the kids for the day. When we got back to our house my mom loaded up the kids and took them with her for the night! Yep, that's right, the first solo over-night stay since Ryan was born! And let me tell you, we enjoyed every second until they came back the following night! Thanks Mom and Dad! We slept in till 10am! It felt like a vacation. And we needed it. It's been a very stressful month, topped off by this big scan. We went out to eat, played tennis, laid by the pool. It was wonderful. And they said the kids were really great and Ryan slept over 10 hours that night for them! I'm hoping they were so good that they'll have them back again soon :-)

On Sunday Jayne gave her first talk in Church! I made some visual aids to help her remember it and she did it! She memorized the entire several minute talk and did fantastic. I helped hold her visual aids after she held it up but otherwise she did it completely on her own! She wore her new Easter dress my mom made for her over the weekend and Jason's parents came down to see her. After church we went to Jen's for our nephew Jake's birthday. It was a very eventful weekend, but so much fun!!

Thanks to everyone for their help and well wishes this past month with everything we've been doing! On to Easter....
