While Jayne was in Preschool, Ryan and I had a chance to go to the park with just us! He got all the attention... and his first ride on the swing! One of the other mom's asked me if this was my first since I had my camera and wanted to capture the moment. Nope, but I am trying to get some (I'm sure not as many as Jayne, but then I didn't have anything else I had to do). We had a great time. He was very interested in all the other kids at the park and really wanted to play in the sand. Once this kid is total mobile I'm in trouble!

Swing'in!

September Beach Day
I love hot September beach days! There were only a handful of people on the entire beach, the sun was shining, perfect temperature, and we had a blast! I love September beach days when everyone goes back to school and work and leaves the beach to us! The kids loved it. Jayne and I even went in the water. Fun days!
Laughing!
Having fun!
So cute!
I've learned to be a pack mule to carry all our gear for our perfect day.

1st Day of Preschool
Thumbs up! Jayne and I were both looking forward to her first day of Preschool. It's only 3 hours a day, twice a week, but it will be a great experience for Jayne and a great experience for me to have some one on one time with Ryan. It's going to be wonderful but I'm also loosing my buddy a little bit as she takes her first little step into the world on her own. Jayne is such a joy in our lives and family. She is very smart, sweet, kind, loving, and tries hard to make good choices. She is competitive by nature and always tries to do her best. She is very social and loves to make friends. She didn't have any separation anxiety. She was excited to go and posing for pictures! She knew I'd be there for her when the time was up and off she went. I was a little sad but sure I'll get over it :-) I'm excited to see how Jayne will do on her own as she develops her independence from me and continues to develop her personality. We had fun doing her nails and hair and picking out her new outfit. I already had to lay down the law that she is NOT allowed to wear makeup to school. She really tried to talk me into it (she's quite the negotiator, which she got from her dad!), so we compromised on some chapstick. We love Jayne so much and are very proud of her!
She LOVED her first day! She said she got to read books, paint, do playdough, and play outside on the slide and in the playhouse. All this and it was a short day. She already knew one friend in the class, Caden, so she said they played together too. She is excited to go back so I think it was a good day! We met her Dad for lunch right after so she could tell him all about it, which added to our really fun day!

Jason's Birthday!
Jason turned 31 on Saturday! I really can't believe we're this old! I don't feel any different than I did at 20. My birthday's next month and I turn 29! At least I can still say I'm in my 20's. It is truly amazing how time flies. And I'm sure the next 10 years will go by even faster! We had a great weekend celebrating with family. Our nephew Josh got baptized this weekend, on Jason's birthday, so we went to that and then had Jason's birthday party after. Mike and Jenni and kids flew out from Phoenix so we had Jason's entire family- brother's and sister's,kids, and parents- all together! That usually doesn't happen but a few times a year if that, so it was really special. The kids had an absolute blast together! It's so great that Mike and Jenni are closer so we'll get to see them so much more often.

Finally....USC Football!
It's finally Football time again. This is a great time in our family. We love watching college football together and some pro too. We went up to Burbank for the weekend to watch the game with Jason's dad and get to see some of our friends. A football Saturday wouldn't be complete without a Sal's sandwhich so we had to make the trek up. We had a great time. And Ryan got to see his first USC Football game! It was a great win. Even Jayne gets into the games and loves watching it with her Dad.
