Ryan 2.5

Look at what my sister taught me? How to dance and pose. Just what every boy needs to know :-)
Ryan heads to playgroup. Finally he gets to see his friends. He was so excited. After all the million pictures of Jayne I decided he needed one before his playgroup. I only get 1 shot with him and this was it :-) Then it was off to wrestle and tackle my friends...literally.

I'm an official soccer mom.

(this picture is 'the sun's in my eyes and I just want to get to my game)

Jayne decided she really wanted to play soccer with her friends. We decided to give it a try but I had very low expectations. She is also taking jazz at her dance studio and absolutely loves it. But I don't have any pictures of that.

Her soccer team is made up of 10 of her very best friends from church/preschool. They are all so adorable. And they've done so good their first 2 weeks. They've "won" all their games, even though we don't keep score at this age. A couple of the dads are their coaches.
Their team is called the Fighting Nemo's. I was re leaved that she was ok with their orange uniforms. I thought that might have ruined it for her but she didn't care. She is the total cheer leader on her team. She's the first to give her friends high fives and loves to make up cheers after. It's very cute. She's done really good. She's got a good big kick and is really getting into the game. It's very fun! She has far exceed any expectations I had. She's a good runner with good endurance, so she just has fun and never wants to stop :-)

1st Day of School

Here's our first day of school photo shoot.... :-)
I so love her hair.
They are required to have a tote bag, not a backpack, for school. So, after finding this out at our orientation, Jayne and I headed to the fabric store, picked out this adorable princess fabric (with sparkles), and my mom and I wiped it up in the afternoon. Jayne was our assistant. The best was when she says to us, "this is perfect, now it just needs a pocket with my name on it." Ok, Jayne! I guess she knows us by now. (more pics of bag on my craft blog)
The two of them were so excited and distracted once we got to school that I didn't get a good picture of the two of them together in front of school. Jayne was checking everyone out and Ryan was just so excited to be with Jayne. He cried when she left him to go into class, but he rebounded quickly and was excited to go with me. Much easier transition than last year!

Kindergarten Orientation

2 days after our Labor Day Birthday celebrating Jayne finally got to start school. She's been dieing to start school for forever so she was so excited. The first day was just a 1 hr. orientation where the parents get to come the whole time and we meet the teacher and see her classroom. Ryan stayed with a friend and was devastated he didn't get to go. He thought he got to go to school too. Jayne loves her teacher, her class, and has already made a lot of new friends. She wasn't sad at all. She just waved and ran off. I do miss her but it's only 3 hours, the same as preschool. So Ryan gets some solo time and then we're right back to get her for lunch.
My mom made Jayne her adorable dress for the first day of school.

Jason's Birthday

In the car ready to go.

I'm finally posting :-) I intended to start in September but just never got going. So here's a recap of September so far.... first was Jason's Birthday! We had a fun weekend. The highlight was taking Ryan to his first baseball game. (Jayne's been to a Dodger game but this was her first Angel game) I think he thought he was going to get to play so he was bummed about that but he loved it. The game was very slow but with some snacks he hung in there.
2 Pea's in a Pod.
