Birthday Celebration Continues
Birthday Celebration #2: Spider-man Party with Buddies
I wouldn't normally do a friend "party" for a 2 year old, but it was my turn to host Ryan's weekly playgroup with his buddies. It just happen to fall the day before his birthday so it was fun to do a little celebration (I didn't go all out, just a few little things). They loved playing. We did a lot of games, loved their cupcakes, and the little decorating just made it seem different. Aren't these the cutest little boys you've ever seen! And we were missing 1. Get better Alex.

Trouble?
We had a wonderful time visiting with our friends, the Hunts, this past weekend and I got this cute picture of the boys causing trouble outside. Another year or so and they will have so much fun together(when they stop clinging to us so much) and I'm sure get into lots of trouble. They were so cute together. They kept laughing at each other and doing things to get the other one to laugh. Who knew that started at not even 2 yrs. old!

Aimee & Jen's Baby Shower
My friend Taryn and I threw a baby shower for 2 of our friends last night at my house! Needless to say, I've spent the beginning of this week cleaning and prepping. It was so much fun! I put up pictures of the decor, the party favor's, and the punch w/ recipe on my Baby Jayne's blog so click HERE, but here's some pictures of the people. I was really happy my house seemed to fit everyone well. we had about 30 there for the whole time and I could sit almost everyone, and we had another 10 that came early or late and didn't stay the whole time.

Happy Valentines Weekend
Some highlights from our super-duper Valentine/President's Day weekend!
- Visiting with My sister and BBQ with my Family
-Valentine Presents & Breakfast
-Picnic Dinner @ the Beach Watching the Sun Go Down
-Playing in the Pool!
- A nice Rouladen Dinner with Jason's Parents who were nice enough to drive down and see us.
It's hard to go back to normal after such a wonderful weekend together! The weather, and getting to go swimming and wear shorts and sandals all weekend, really made me look forward to spring! I even went and bought some plants today! I'm ready :)

Hair Cut
First off, my kids have a ton of hair. Both mine and Jason's hair is really thick. So both kids were born with lots of hair. Ryan was born with this beautiful head of black hair.
He's needed hair cuts from about 6 months on! He's not quite 2 yet and already a regular at Super Cuts or Cost Cuts. And even at those places it's $12-$15 bucks a pop. So I usually get it cut really short so we don't have to come back for like 8 weeks or so and by then it's looking silly. So I bought one of these...
On sale for $20 at Costco. Has everything I need to do it myself. If I can figure this out, it's going to save me a boodle by the time he's old, especially if I have any more boys :-) So I tried it out today. His hair was about an inch and a half past his ears. What do you think?? The front's a little messed up cause we'd already had dinner and he's been playing a while, but not to shabby for my first time. I think it's at least as good as super cuts. They always leave big wholes. I don't have any wholes. And I didn't have to go crazy short cause now I can just keep it up on a regular basis :-) Yeah!! I'm gonna figure this thing out!

Valentines Week Begins....
The day after Christmas Jayne says, "I guess it's time for Valentines day." What! We haven't put our gifts or tree away yet! But wow, time flew by and the holiday she has been eagerly awaiting has finally arrived.....
I cut up a bunch of hearts in different sizes, some paper for the main part of the card, some print outs that said Happy Valentines Day, some doily lace hearts, come glue, sparkles, and pens and let Jayne make whatever she wanted. She had to do 11 for her class plus 2 for her teachers. It took her about 2 hours, but they turned out so cute! It was hard for me to resist trying to tell her where to put stuff, but I did resist! :-) They were all her.
The best part was Jayne saying last night, " I love making these Valentines Mom. My favorite part is making these with you." Yes, she really said that. And I thought, wow, this is way more fun than the store bought cards. We might not go back now.
Our Valentines celebrating has begun. Jayne worked very hard on her valentines this year. In the past I've always bought whatever store made card she wanted and attached some candy. This year, I decided to let Jayne get creative.

Baptism
We had a wonderful time getting to go to my nieces baptism this weekend. All of the siblings in Jason's family were there with their families to support Kacie. It was a special group and a wonderful event. We had a fun weekend in LA with Jason 's family and watching the Super Bowl together. The kids are exhausted from so much fun and so little sleep :-)
