Vegas Blessing Getaway

We had a fun quick trip to Vegas this past weekend to be at my sister's new baby, Kaylynn's, blessing. The kids LOVE staying in a hotel. We are tired, but so glad we went! We wouldn't have missed it for the world! We love you baby Kaylynn!

Tradition

One of my favorite traditions is the yearly Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom. Sadly, my mom and sister were both out of town this year, but have no fear, Jayne and I carried on the tradition together and we called them from the dressing room to chat. Jayne has decided she loves our family tradition too.

Some years we don't get much, other years are very fun. Jayne's still little, so we went for a first day of school outfit and some good thick tennis shoes that would last the school year. We got just a few other key things. And Ryan got a few shirts too, cause who can pass up a good deal :-)

Unlike last year, Ryan was absolutely perfect! I couldn't believe it. It was as if he knew how much fun we were having :-) We got there early and spent the whole morning there, even getting a cookie at the cafe. I was a happy camper!

And the kids were too! Till next year....

Sunday Walks on the Beach

One of our favorite Sunday evening activities is a walk along the beach. There's a really nice paved path at one of our local beaches just a few miles down the road that is the perfect place to go for a walk.

It's attached to the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Beach and there's a golf course that has a few holes that are right on the beach. This past Sunday, the golf course was closed so the kids got to go run on the course. They actually found a golf ball and had fun throwing it around. I love doing this together! It's a perfect end to the weekend.

Summertime....

Our first full week of summer vacation was cold and almost raining. Crazy I know. So we did a few new things we've been wanting to go do...

But the sun did finally come out and we're back at the pool and beach...
It's actually been a nice combination of cold marine layer mornings and sunny afternoons. I LOVE SUMMER!

4th of July Fun

It seems like so long ago already! But it was so much fun. Some great family time, pool time, and the kids even got to camp out in their grandparents backyard with their cousins! How fun is that!!

Dance Recital

The big dance recital is finally here! We only get to take pictures at the dress rehearsal, so here they are. She did an amazing job and absolutely loves to dance. She dances everyday. She makes up routines and cheers, and can be found in her dance shoes most afternoons. It was very fun to do this with her and help her have such a great experience. I can't wait for the big show tonight. I'll post more pics of that after the 4th, but here's the sneak peak for my sisters and cousins who couldn't make it today. :-)

Buzz

Ryan is obsessed with Buzz Lightyear. It doesn't help there is mass target marketing to him everywhere we go, but he's buying it. We took the kids last Saturday to go see it. This was a huge treat because we never take them to movies except for the summer free ones or maybe the! :-)
