Teddy Bear Picnic

Our week began with Jayne's first teddy bear picnic! She was so excited! I got to pack her a little lunch and they had a picnic with their animals. I loved this picture, courtesy of her teacher.

Baptism

We had a wonderful time getting to go to my nieces baptism this weekend. All of the siblings in Jason's family were there with their families to support Kacie. It was a special group and a wonderful event. We had a fun weekend in LA with Jason 's family and watching the Super Bowl together. The kids are exhausted from so much fun and so little sleep :-)

Wedding

We got to go to an amazing wedding this past weekend! Jason's long time friend, Lonnie was getting married. He married this wonderful girl named Stephanie and they had an awesome wedding. They were married in a Catholic church and reception following at the Nixon Library. We got to attend the service and reception and had a wonderful time! Thanks to my mother/father in-law and bro/sis in-law for helping take the kids so we could go! Everything was over-the-top beautiful! The ballroom at the library was a replica of the white house. Open-bar (ie. unlimited diet coke and sprite), fabulous food, the crepe maker for dessert, the coffeee stand (ie. hot chocolate) , great dj, and of course great company all equaled a wonderful party!

What do you do when it rains for a week....

..stay home and make cookies! At least that's one of the things we did this week. We probably stayed home more than any other time ever. CA never has a week of straight rain, that quantity of rain, or that severe of weather (wind, thunder, lighting). It felt like I was back in UT with these big storms. So we had fun being inside, playing with new toys and games, and making cookies. :-)

They are very good helpers.

Park Day

The weekend before our massive week of thunderstorms we had an awesome family day at the park! I packed a lunch and we spent a wonderful afternoon just relaxing and playing with the kids. The sun felt warm, and we were the only people there! I love our little hidden park. Thanks to Wendy and Tess for showing us where it was! Fun day!

Isn't Ryan getting so big?! He'll be 2 next month. It makes me sad he's not my baby anymore. He wants to be a big boy, and already thinks he is!

Ready to Go...

Monday after new years and we're ready to go! Christmas stuff packed away, and off to start our routine (which means monday morning preschool for Jayne). I love January cause I love setting new goals, evaluating how the last year went and what I want to accomplish this coming year. One of my goals for this next year is to run the OC half marathon in May. Should be fun! Here's to a year full of getting lots done!

Happy New Years!

We had a really fun New Years! We got Jason's parents to babysit and got to go to dinner and a movie in LA with our good friends, the Sweats! It was the latest we have stayed out since probably before we had kids. We had a great time! And got to enjoy some football time and wonderful food with Jason's parents the following day.
