Christmas

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas! It keeps getting more fun every year with more kids and them getting older. I just love it! We went down to Vista for several parties with my family on both sides. We spent Christmas Eve down there as well but came home late to put the kids in bed. We had a wonderful Christmas morning, totally perfect!, and then my family came to our house for a late lunch and to exchange presents. It was a wonderful day! But the kids were fighting a cold then entire week leading up to Christmas. I was hoping they would get better, but Christmas day they got worse and started running fevers. We took them in to the Dr. the next day and they gave Jayne antibiotics, her first ever and she's almost 4! They said Ryan wasn't sick enough, didn't look bacterial, and to wait. Well, Ryan got worse and worse. It was a horrible weekend. We couldn't go anywere or do anything. Lucky for me, Jason is off work all week from Christmas to New Years, so he was here to help with everything. We took Ryan back in first thing Monday morning and he had a full blown ear infection in both ears! It was so frustrating. Today he is finally really starting to act like himself again and is slowly getting better. Jayne is doing much better. What a week! Hopefully we won't be sick again for a long time! I've enjoyed the colder weather and rain, but maybe some more sunshine would get us healthy again! Looking forward to a fun New Year's Eve. We're going to celebrate with our brother and sister-in law and the kids tonight. Should be fun!
Christmas Eve Dinner at my Grandma's

Me, my Mom and Sisters- do we all look alike or what?!

Jayne was an angel and Ryan was a Shepherd for the Nativity play. Ryan was hilarious. He totally stood there by the baby and cradle for at least a half hour smiling and sticking his tongue out. It was so funny!
Everything ready to go! Santa came and left a slide, a Barbie house and a new bike!

Waiting on the stairs for pictures before getting to see what Santa brought! Jayne's in her new nightgown her Grandma Sharyn made. I couldn't get her out of it all day!

Jayne unloading her stocking! She was all smiles after her Santa gifts. She couldn't wait to open everything. She even helped all of us open our things.

Ryan's first Christmas! He loved the paper and his new toys.

Lots of presents to open!

Jayne trying out her new bike! And new helmet, and scarf and shirt.

Merry Christmas

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Holiday! And a Happy New Year. We are celebrating with my family this year (we take turns) and are very excited for our many parties and opportunities to see family. We're also excited for my Brother's wedding January 3. We love this time of year when so many people's hearts and minds are turned to our Savior. We are so thankful to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives. We are so thankful for his birth, that we celebrate during this time, but even more so for his great atoning sacrifice and resurrection. We are so thankful for our testimony of these things and spirit of Christ in our lives. We feel humbled by the great blessings the Lord continues to bestow upon our family. We appreciate your friendship and love! Here's to a wonderful 2009!

Preschool Christmas Program

I love Jayne's preschool for many reasons, but one of them is that they can actually talk about Christmas and that it's about Christ's Birth, not just the "holidays" and Santa. They did an adorable Christmas program- sang songs, and talked about the true reason for the season. Jayne loved it and will miss school the next 2 weeks, as will I.

Rain, Rain...

We have really loved all the rain we've gotten the past week. When one long storm had passed, I told Jayne we should go out and jump in the puddles. We haven't had any substantial rain, enough to make a puddle, in so long that she didn't even understand what I was saying. So we got dressed in some grubby clothes and headed out to get drenched! At first she resisted because she didn't want to wear the grubby clothes. She kept insisting on dresses and her normal wear. She cried big tears that she, "looked like a boy," and off we went. Needless to say, she loved it....

A Very Merry Weekend

We had a great weekend! We babysat our two nephews, Josh and Jake, on Friday night. We made homemade pizza's. Then made homemade christmas cookies and watched the Santa Clause is Coming to Town movie. Saturday we did a Breakfast with Santa with our ward then we went to the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade, which was right down the street from our house. It was very well done and we were surprised at how big it was. That night Jason and I had a Christmas Party to go to at a friends house! We had a great weekend and really felt the holiday spirit. It's been cold and we've even had some rain! I love Christmas and December!! I got my Christmas cards in the mail today, so you should be receiving it soon. If you don't, email me.

Jayne got to bring a share item for her preschool class. We also did the sponge curlers for the first time on her hair and they were these fantastic ringlets! It was so beautiful! She was all decked out for school that day :-)

Jaclyn's Bridal Shower

My sister Tiffany, my mom and I hosted a shower for my soon-to-be sister-in-law Jaclyn! They are getting married January 3 in the SD temple. We had so much fun planning it. It turned out great! We also celebrated my Dad's birthday and nephew Ashton's birthday later that night too. Another fun weekend of celebrating!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Jason's Family! We celebrated, did a cousin gift exchange, hosted a big party for all Jonas family in So Cal at our club, had a grown-ups night out to the movies and dinner, took the kids to the Zoo, and watched SC whoop ND once again. It was a fun and exhausting couple days! It's taken us a little while to recooperate :-) On to Christmas!
