Kyle Arrived!

March 11, 2011, 6:30am- We're off on our adventure!
Jason and I had a 'fun' day waiting at the hospital to get going. I needed 2 bags of antibiotics in my system before the baby arrived. We did this while watching several movies and visiting with my Grandma and Mom who arrived around lunch time. After the antibiotics, they broke my water and I went from a 4 to a 9 in about an hour.
Kyle Nathan Jonas arrived at 3:39pm and was 6 lbs. 8 oz. (His middle name came from Jason's Grandpa) The epidural only half worked but that was fine with me. Half is way better than no epidural! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely made up for the last 2! We were shocked he was so small, even though he was induced 6 days early. But I've been assured that his birth weight is no indication of his future overall size, so I'm fine with a smaller baby :-)
Proud Daddy never left his side after he arrived, even sleeping on the 'couch' in the hospital with us for 2 nights.
Jayne and Ryan were so excited to see their brother! My sister-in-law Jen took the kids for the day and brought them to the hospital to meet Kyle. The kids then got to go to my parents for the weekend while we were in the hospital. Thanks so much to our family for helping so much with the kids so we didn't have to worry!
Grandma's in love.
Our new Family of 5
Getting ready to go home!
He looks so tiny in his car seat! He loved the car and fell asleep right away.
We're so happy to be home with our new little guy!
Ryan has, so far, done fantastic with the baby! He loves to help and give him kisses and otherwise has acted very normal. We're crossing our fingers it stays this way.
Jayne, aka Kyle's second mom, is totally in love. She is a wonderful helper and has been especially helpful with Ryan too since we've been home so much more than normal. Here Jayne is helping my mom give Kyle his first bath. He loved having his hair washed.
Kyle at 4 days. He likes to eat all night and sleep all day so it's hard to get a picture with his eyes open. He is adorable and seems to have a wonderful disposition. He did great at his Dr. appointment and had already gotten back to birth weight and gained 2 oz! I LOVE his big lips and fuzzy head. He is so cute!

Congrats Trina! Boys are so fun! And I have to agree that birth weight has no connection to later! Our smallest at birth, 6lbs. 13oz. is a beefy guy and even being 2 3/4years younger than his older brother wears the same size!! Enjoy your babymoon!!
