Hollywood Bowl

Jason and I got to go see Jason's cousin (Wendy Bryn Harmer) sing at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend! It was wonderful. His cousin is a full-on, legitimate Opera singer! She sings at the MET in New York and was just out for a 2 night gig this summer. It was so fun to hear her sing. She was fantastic and the whole evening was so much fun. Dinner at the Smokehouse and a fantastic show at the Hollywood Bowl featuring the LA Philharmonic for an evening of Tchaikosky, including the 1812 Overture with fireworks and USC Marching Band. So great! And a big thanks to my parents for taking Jayne and Ryan so we could go!

Isn't this an awesome view?! You can see the Hollywood sign on the next hill over. It's tucked away in this beautiful canyon. Fantastic and historic facility.

Halloween Preview?

Jayne had to dress like a princess for a birthday party. She picked Barbie Island Princess. I think she looked adorable and will try to talk her into it for Halloween. She said she wants to be a princess. I asked which and she said Jasmine, which is the ONLY princess costume we don't already have. So, this might be a preview :-)

So far this week....

we have done lots of fun things. Like go to the free movie and ride the carousel....
have lots of friends over to play....
made this adorable purse for Jayne and taught a bunch of friend how to too....

run/ride bikes around the lake.....
and hit the pool :-)

Lake Mohave Part 2

The kids and I hit the Lake with my family again. Jason is crazy busy working so we did a little trip with the fam. We got some awesome skiing, tubing, wakeboarding in! It was nice spending time with my siblings and parents. The kids loved it! I've spent this weekend and few days recovering :-) Many more summer adventures to come and only about 4 weeks left! Where did the summer go!?

Ryan got in my brother's jet ski and waved good bye to me. He thought he was really taking off. So my dad and brother took turns pulling him around the shallow water giving him a ride. He held the handle bars and loved it. I've got to watch out for him!

Beach w/ The Hunts

We had a great time at the beach with our friends the Hunts! The kids had a blast. We had a wonderful day! We're so glad we could get together!!

Horses

When I was little, this was one of my favorite toys! I rode this horse for hours. I rode it so much I actually wore this horse out and had to get a second one. I remember being tired after riding for a long time. My mom has told me many times that she wondered where I was going and how thankful she was for this horse because it helped burn a lot of my energy. (yes, I've always been high energy). So when I saw this little horse toy, I was so excited. It's not made out of metal parts like mine were but it's very cute. Neither of my kids have taken to it like I did, but they do like it. Ryan's just getting big enough to put his feet up on the rail and really ride it.
