Major Revamp

So I finally got around to doing some major updating on my Baby Jayne's blog. Go check it out and see what you think. I'd like to start posting regularly there again and get some blog exposure. We'll see how the holiday's go and how I'm feeling. But I'm excited about the new look and hopefully more ease of use. Especially check out the Tutorial button on the top. I think all the picture links turned out cool. I'm just learning all this blog/editing/picture stuff so it's kinda fun :-) This blog will be next to get updated!

Trip to Utah

It's been a long since Jason and I have been back to UT. Since we graduated college a little over 10 years ago and moved back to CA, we've only been back 1 time on a vacation and then for both of his grandparents funerals. So, when our best friends moved to UT this summer we thought it was a perfect opportunity to go back and visit and take the kids along! We had a WONDERFUL time! We stayed in Park City for 1 night and did our favorite Park City things, a beautiful drive down the canyon, and stayed a few days with our friends in UT County. A BYU football game, a run with Leanna through the canyon, a stop at the BYU Bookstore for the kids, temple square, Thanksgiving Point, and of course all of our favorite places to eat- it was a wonderful trip! And we loved getting to see our friends!

*We flew so the kids were PUMPED to fly on an airplane. They've both been on airplanes several times but of course they can't really remember, even though it wasn't that long ago.
So excited to be on the plane!
Swimming at the Hotel
Sleeping on the pull-out couch at the hotel. Ryan is soooo excited not to be in a pack in play crib. Let's just say it was kinda rough night sleep :-) And he went back in the crib for the rest of the trip.
Riding to the top of the ski mountain in Park City
I just love this picture! We totally enjoyed the mountains and beautiful scenery. Heading to the Alpine Slides.
Ready to Fly Down The Mountain!
Ryan was nervous for about a minute then he was LOVING it and hoot'ing and hollering all the way down the mountain. He calls it the 'car ride'.
Beautiful Drive Down the Canyon. Took us back to our college days and many fun activities and dates :-)
Ryan and Tyler totally bonded and had so much fun together!
Jayne and Jocelyn were inseparable and had so much fun together. They definitely miss each other.
It was so great to see our really good friends! We had a fun evening having dinner and playing at a park up the canyon.
Wow, we've produced a lot of kids! And more on the way :-)
Sometimes my kids are just so cute. I we were walking behind them, I noticed them holding hands as we walked through temple square and I had to hurry to get the picture without them seeing. I LOVE this picture.
An awesome way to end our trip. The kids loved the visitor's center at Temple Square. All in All an awesome trip! We'll be back to visit. Hopefully sooner than another 5 years :-)

Ryan 2.5

Look at what my sister taught me? How to dance and pose. Just what every boy needs to know :-)
Ryan heads to playgroup. Finally he gets to see his friends. He was so excited. After all the million pictures of Jayne I decided he needed one before his playgroup. I only get 1 shot with him and this was it :-) Then it was off to wrestle and tackle my friends...literally.

I'm an official soccer mom.

(this picture is 'the sun's in my eyes and I just want to get to my game)

Jayne decided she really wanted to play soccer with her friends. We decided to give it a try but I had very low expectations. She is also taking jazz at her dance studio and absolutely loves it. But I don't have any pictures of that.

Her soccer team is made up of 10 of her very best friends from church/preschool. They are all so adorable. And they've done so good their first 2 weeks. They've "won" all their games, even though we don't keep score at this age. A couple of the dads are their coaches.
Their team is called the Fighting Nemo's. I was re leaved that she was ok with their orange uniforms. I thought that might have ruined it for her but she didn't care. She is the total cheer leader on her team. She's the first to give her friends high fives and loves to make up cheers after. It's very cute. She's done really good. She's got a good big kick and is really getting into the game. It's very fun! She has far exceed any expectations I had. She's a good runner with good endurance, so she just has fun and never wants to stop :-)

1st Day of School

Here's our first day of school photo shoot.... :-)
I so love her hair.
They are required to have a tote bag, not a backpack, for school. So, after finding this out at our orientation, Jayne and I headed to the fabric store, picked out this adorable princess fabric (with sparkles), and my mom and I wiped it up in the afternoon. Jayne was our assistant. The best was when she says to us, "this is perfect, now it just needs a pocket with my name on it." Ok, Jayne! I guess she knows us by now. (more pics of bag on my craft blog)
The two of them were so excited and distracted once we got to school that I didn't get a good picture of the two of them together in front of school. Jayne was checking everyone out and Ryan was just so excited to be with Jayne. He cried when she left him to go into class, but he rebounded quickly and was excited to go with me. Much easier transition than last year!

Kindergarten Orientation

2 days after our Labor Day Birthday celebrating Jayne finally got to start school. She's been dieing to start school for forever so she was so excited. The first day was just a 1 hr. orientation where the parents get to come the whole time and we meet the teacher and see her classroom. Ryan stayed with a friend and was devastated he didn't get to go. He thought he got to go to school too. Jayne loves her teacher, her class, and has already made a lot of new friends. She wasn't sad at all. She just waved and ran off. I do miss her but it's only 3 hours, the same as preschool. So Ryan gets some solo time and then we're right back to get her for lunch.
My mom made Jayne her adorable dress for the first day of school.

Jason's Birthday

In the car ready to go.

I'm finally posting :-) I intended to start in September but just never got going. So here's a recap of September so far.... first was Jason's Birthday! We had a fun weekend. The highlight was taking Ryan to his first baseball game. (Jayne's been to a Dodger game but this was her first Angel game) I think he thought he was going to get to play so he was bummed about that but he loved it. The game was very slow but with some snacks he hung in there.
2 Pea's in a Pod.
